Hikes from Emosson
From a gentle walk along the dam (25 minutes) to an ambitious alpine hike lasting several hours, the Emosson site is the perfect starting point to explore the mountains at your own pace.
- Looking for a family-friendly walk? Walk down from Emosson to Les Montuires and reach the VerticAlp Café and its playground (approx. 30 minutes).
- Breathtaking 360° panorama for a 45-minute walk via Six Jeur or Sé Jeur (45 minutes).
- Prefer to earn a break on a sunny terrace? Take the 3-hour loop leading to the Cabane du Vieux-Emosson.
- How about discovering the village of Finhaut while admiring the highest peak in Europe? Follow the Mont-Blanc Balcony trail (3 hours).
- Tempted by a cross-border adventure? Hike the trail that crosses the border and connects Emosson to the Loriaz Refuge (F) in about 2h30.
- Fancy a journey back in time? Follow in the footsteps of dinosaurs (archosaurs) and reach the famous footprint site on a hike of around 5 hours.
