Cross the Border at 2,000 Metres Altitude
This cross-border hike takes you from the Émosson Dam in Switzerland through stunning alpine landscapes to the Loriaz Refuge, located at 2,020 metres on the French side. Crossing the border at over 2,000 metres offers a unique experience between two countries.
The balcony trail alternates between conifer forests and open alpine meadows, offering spectacular views of the Mont Blanc massif and the Aiguilles Rouges.
At the end of the hike, the welcoming Loriaz Refuge invites you to rest, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or spend the night in the mountains.
