Finhaut
Remnants of the construction of the region’s first dam (Barberine, 1921–1925), the original transport facilities once used for moving materials have been preserved, modernised, and adapted for passenger tourism by various companies, including VerticAlp Vallée du Trient SA.
Hop aboard for a unique 45-minute journey in three stages all the way to Emosson!
The Châtelard funicular
The two panoramic cabins take you on an impressive vertical journey, with a maximum gradient of 87%, making it one of the steepest funiculars in the world! As the ascent continues, the view opens up onto an ever more grandiose alpine landscape, all the way to the intermediate station at Les Montuires, some 700 m higher.
Panoramic train
A mountainside trail winds through forests and tunnels to take you to the foot of the Emosson dam. The panoramic train offers grandiose views over the entire Mont-Blanc massif and overlooks the deep gorges of the Bouqui.
Minifunicular
From the train terminus at the foot of the dam, the "minifunic" takes you up to the top of the Emosson dam at 1965 m.
